“To sing these Herero songs takes a special singer who can get just the right notes. It’s not everybody who can sing the poetry.”

Your Project
1. Choose a specific Namibian tribe (other than Herero) on which to focus your research.
2. Find one or two videos of the culture's music and/or dance (that was not presented on this website).
3. Make a list 5 detailed questions you have after watching the video ("Why are they all wearing the same clothing and is there any significance behind it?" "What are the instruments used and what are their functions?" etc.).
4. Research your questions and list at least one reputable source you used for each question.
5. For two of your sources, explain what makes them reputable and describe the perspective each is communicating.
6. Make a 5-10 minute video explaining your questions and findings.
7. I will post these video to our Moodle page, and you will watch one per week and post a thought-provoking statement or question in response to each video (or in response to another students comment).
